Media coverage of paper on birds and climate change

I recently published the first paper from my PhD research at Washington University, together with Joan Garcia-Porta and Carlos Botero. It was great to finally see the paper in Ecology Letters (“Phenotypic response to climate change are dampened in big-brained birds”), but I also enjoyed talking to a handful of interested reporters in the aftermath.

Here are some links to places where our paper received some press coverage:

CNN

Scientific American

Utah Public Radio

Saint Louis Public Radio

Washington University

Ars Technica

Birdwatching Daily

The Wildlife Society

Treehugger

SINC.

This was my first time talking to reporters about science, and I enjoyed the process. Every conversation or email exchange, with veteran or undergraduate student reporters, had me thinking about our research in a different way.
